INVITATION TO BID
TOWN OF MARSHFIELD, MA
The Town of Marshfield, through the Board of Public Works, requests bids for
"Electrical Maintenance for Wastewater and Water Divisions"
The scope of work consists of Prevention, Corrective and Emergency Maintenance, as requested by the Town, at the Wastewater and Water Divisions' facilities and pump stations. The work will include, but is not limited to: motor control centers; switch gears; various sizes and types of motors; high voltage as well as 110, 120 and 440; instrumentation and alarm work; wiring and controls for various pumps including water and wastewater pumps, chemical feel pumps, and odor control and air handling units. Total annual estimated value of the contract is One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000). Awarding Authority reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional 12-month options, bringing the total valuation of the contract to three (3) times the first year of estimated total value of all bid items. Contractor must be DCAMM-certified, and provide all required documentation. A minimum of seven (7) years of directly-related experience is required. Training, experience and proper equipment for confined space work is essential.
Copies of the contract documents will be available as of October 29, 2025 at the Marshfield Department of Public Works Office, 965 Plain Street, Marshfield, MA. 02050, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, except holidays, and via e-mail from dpwbids@townofmarshfield.org.
Sealed bids marked "Electrical Maintenance" will be received at the office of the Department of Public Works until 2:00 PM on November 20, 2025 at which time they will be opened and publicly read in the DPW conference room, second floor, DPW Office. All bids shall be based on Department of Public Works issued contract documents and any addenda to the contract.
The awarding authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Marshfield. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid of a bidder who cannot satisfy the owner that he has sufficient experience to successfully perform the work.
All proposals are subject to M.G.L. Ch149 and M.G.L. Ch30B where applicable.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount and form as stated in the Instructions to Bidders.
