October 29, 2025 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 4.66 OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE BROWN COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES (ENTITLED 'VACATION') THE BROWN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 - Section 4.66 of Chapter 4 of the Brown County Code of Ordinances is hereby amended as follows (deletions are in strike-through, and additions are underlined): 4.66 (2) VACATION. Vacation day credit is earned on a monthly basis; however, for scheduling purposes, vacation days earned during the calendar year are credited to the employee's vacation account at the beginning of each calendar year. Any employee who terminates his/her employment or has his/her employment terminated for any reason, shall be compensated for all earned, unused vacation time as of the date of termination. The employee shall reimburse the County for any vacation time taken but not earned at the time of his/her termination. Section 2 - This ordinance shall become effective upon passage and publication pursuant to law.
