Legal Public Notice Request for Qualifications Contractor Prequalification RFQ-SJR-06-2025 New Certificate -or- RFQ-SJR-07-2025 Renewal Certificate Application St. Johns River State College (SJR State) invites its currently prequalified contractors to apply for certificate renewal (RFQ-SJR-07-2025); and invites general, building, roofing, mechanical, and site-work (civil) contractors with SREF and public projects experience to apply for a new certificate (RFQ-SJR-06-2025), for calendar year 2026. Prequalification is required to bid on various construction related projects. Anticipated projects may include construction, renovation, remodeling, major repairs, roof replacements, and site work at any of the College’s campuses in Clay, Putnam and St. Johns Counties. To obtain an RFQ specifications document, e-mail a request to Mrs. Terry Thomas, AVP of Facilities, Planning, and Capital Projects, at TerryThomas@sjrstate.edu. Specify whether request is for renewal or new. Deadline for receipt of RFQ submissions is 3:00 p.m., December 4, 2025, to St. Johns River State College, Business Office, Attn: Terry Thomas, AVP of Facilities, Planning, and Capital Projects, 5001 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL 32177. Submissions must be sealed and identified on the outside with RFQ-SJR-06-2025 or RFQ-SJR-07-2025 (whichever is applicable) and the responder’s name. Faxed, e-mailed (except that portion noted in specs), conditional, late, or responses delivered to the wrong location will not be considered. Responses received by the deadline will be opened publicly at 3:30 p.m., December 4, 2025, in Building A, Room A-152 (Valhalla Hall) on the SJR State Campus in Palatka. RFQs received by the deadline will be evaluated in a public meeting starting at 1:30 p.m. on January 8, 2026, in Building A, Room A-152 (Valhalla Hall) at SJR State, 5001 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL. RFQ awards are expected at the DBOT meeting at 2:00 p.m. on January 21, 2026, at SJR State, 5001 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL. The basis for award of prequalified contractor status is for firms to meet all RFQ specifications. SJR State reserves the right to reject any or all responses received, to waive any or all informalities in regards thereto, and to award certificates which are in the best interest of the College.
