The Town of Howey in the Hills and Lake County's Public
Works Department, hereby give notice of the Town and
County's intent to revise the flood hazard information on
Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) generally located east
of West Florida Avenue, and south of Number 2 Road.
The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of
Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) Case No. 25-
04-5255R for the Hillside Grove development. Once the
project has been completed, a Letter of Map Revision
(LOMR) request will be submitted that will, in part, revise
the flood hazards for revise the flood hazards along
Ponding Area 480-1, Holland Lake, Unnamed Ponding
Area 6, 5, 10, 11, 14, and 15. As a result of the revision,
the 1% annual chance water-surface elevations shall
increase and be established and the special flood hazard
area (SFHA) will increase, decrease and be established
within the area of revision.
