The current permit allows the transfer from the                                                 Cumberland River Basin to the Duck River Basin to serve the                                                 eastern part of Maury County. The transfer is from the                                                 Hillsboro, Burwood & Thompson's Station Utility District                                                 (HB&TS) water purchased from the Harpeth Valley Utility                                                 District within that utility's existing water treatment plant                                                 and withdrawal capacity. The transfer is proposed via a new                                                 16-inch water line delivering to the intersection of U.S.                                                  Highway 431 (Lewisburg Pk) and Jim Warren Road near the                                                 Williamson and Maury County Line.   The applicant has proposed to the division to increase the transfer from 2 MGD to 3 MGD.   Anyone wishing to comment on the conditions of the proposed permit should submit written comments to the address listed below at the Attention: NPDES Comments. Comments should be received by the Public Notice date plus 30 days and include the applicant’s name and permit number.   Interested persons may request, in writing, a public hearing on any application. The request must be filed within the comment period, and the interest of the filing party and the reasons for the request must be indicated. If there is significant interest, a hearing will be held under Division Rule 0400-40-5-.06(12), and the Director will make determinations regarding permit issuance. The application, draft permit, etc., are available for review and/or copying at the above address from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weekdays, except holidays. There is a nominal charge for copying, except for single copies of permit applications, draft permits, and supporting rationale.
