NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING, INTENTION TO ADOPT, AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE AMENDING THE RACCOON TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE   Notice is hereby given that the Supervisors of the Township of Raccoon, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Municipal Building, 1234 State Route 18, Aliquippa, Township of Raccoon, Beaver County, Pennsylvania 15001, to receive public comments in consideration of the adoption of a Solar Energy Systems Ordinance to the Raccoon Township Zoning Ordinance found at Chapter 185 of its Code. The proposed amendment to said Ordinance by adding New Section 185-58.2, titled "Solar Energy Systems", allows for accessory solar energy systems in all zoning districts as an accessory use and allows principal solar energy systems as a permitted use by right in the C-2 Highway Commercial Zoning District. Following the conclusion of the hearing, at 7:00 p.m., on the same date, the Supervisors will convene a public meeting at the aforesaid location at which it will consider adoption of the aforesaid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance.   Following is a summary of the proposed Ordinance:   Section 1: Policy; Purpose. Section 2: Scope; Applicability. Section 3: Definitions. Section 4: Accessory Solar Energy Systems (ASES). Section 5: Principal Solar Energy Systems (PSES). Section 6: Severability. Section 7: Repealer. Section 8: Effective Date.   A copy of this proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is available for public inspection during regular business hours at the office of the Township Secretary, Christy Piatkowski, and at the Beaver County Law Library, Courthouse, Beaver, Pennsylvania.
