ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Central Kitsap School District #401 (CKSD) – Requests sealed bids for Ridgetop Middle School Elevator Modernization project, Bid No. 020-25.
The Work comprises the modernization of the existing elevator, installation of split system air conditioning unit to serve the elevator machine room, and associated plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire alarm to support the modernization.
The estimated cost range for this project is: $400,000 - $412,000
The bids shall include all Work pursuant to the Drawings, Project Manuals, and any Addenda(s) issued prior to bid opening date.
Part 1: CKSD will receive Sealed Bids at, Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) Administration Building, Capital Projects (CP) Office at 1400 NE McWilliams Road, Bremerton, WA 98311, starting at 1:00 PM to no later than 2:00 PM, December 10, 2025. Bids will be publicly opening and read aloud at the above address for the project.
Part 2: HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical subcontractor work listings is due at the same time as Part 1 on December 10, 2025. Shortly after 2:00 PM, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the day and hour stated in this section may not receive consideration.
Part 3: Prior to 2:00 PM on December 12, 2025, within forty-eight (48) hours of the time and date for the Receipt of Bids, bidders shall submit Structural Steel & Rebar Installation subcontractor work listings to CKSD TLC Administration Building, CP Office at 1400 NE McWilliams Road, Bremerton, WA 98311. Shortly after 2:00 PM subcontractor work listings will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work listings received after the day and hour stated in this section will not receive consideration. Owner reserves the right to postpone the Bid opening. Part 3 may be turned in with Part 1 and 2 or shortly afterwards.
A non-mandatory, but highly encouraged, Pre-Bid Conference will be held on November 20, 2025. The Pre-Bid Conference will begin at the front entrance of Ridgetop Middle School, 10600 Hillsboro Drive NW, Silverdale, WA 98383 at 9:00 AM, for the purpose of answering any questions bidders may have and to consider any suggestions they may wish to make. Any changes resulting from this conference will be made by Addendum following the conference. The conference is held for the benefit of the bidders. It is requested that some person of authority from the office of the prospective bidder attend this meeting.

At Bidder’s sole expense, prospective Bidders may obtain Bidding and Contract Documents on November 13, 2025, from American Reprographics Company (ARC) Public Plan Room on their website at https://order.e-arc.com/arcEOC/ARCPlanRoom.aspx. Search for Ridgetop Middle School Elevator Modernization or you can visit their office located at 632 Broadway, Tacoma, Washington 98402; telephone 253-383-6363.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond with State-Licensed Surety Company as surety, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to the Central Kitsap School District #401. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond. Such bonds shall be furnished by a surety company acceptable to the Owner.
Pursuant to RCW 39.04.320, no less than fifteen percent of the labor hours shall be performed by apprentices, unless a different amount is permitted or otherwise required by law.
CKSD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding and to accept bids, which are considered to be in the best interest of CKSD.
No bidder may withdraw their bid after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding 60 days.
