NOTICE
The BENSALEM TOWNSHIP COUNCIL at its regularly scheduled meeting on November 24th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., to be held at the Township Building, 2400 Byberry Road, Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania will hold a public hearing on and will consider for adoption, an Ordinance amending Part I – Administrative Legislation, Chapter 2 – Administrative Code, Article IV – Executive Departments, Section 2-81 – Creation of Departments, and Article VII - Personnel Rules, Section 2-163 – Residency Requirement Established, of the Code of Ordinances of the Township of Bensalem; repealing all inconsistent ordinances; repealing Ordinance 2018-06; and establishing an effective date therefor.
The Ordinance to be considered and acted upon is the following:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BENSALEM, COUNTY OF BUCKS, AMENDING PART I – ADMINISTRATIVE LEGISLATION, CHAPTER 2 – ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, ARTICLE IV – EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS, SECTION 2-81 CREATION OF DEPARTMENTS AND ARTICLE VII – PERSONNEL RULES, SECTION 2-163 – RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT ESTABLISHED OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BENSALEM; REPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES; REPEALING ORDINANCE 2018-06, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR
The public hearing will be held for the purpose of receiving comments and recommendations of interested individuals residing within the municipality concerning the proposed Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance to be considered and acted upon on November 24th 2025, has been drafted for the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of Bensalem Township.
The proposed Ordinance will, inter alia, amend the Township Code of Ordinances at Part I – Administrative Legislation, Chapter 2 – Administrative Code, Article IV – Executive Departments, Section 2-81 - Creation of Departments, and Article VII – Personnel Rules, Section 2 – 163 – Residency Requirement Established, to revise and amend the provisions of the same.
The full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined by any citizen in the Office of the Director of Administration of Bensalem Township located at 2400 Byberry Road, Bensalem, PA, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or at the Bucks County Law Library, located at Bucks County Justice Center, 100 North Main Street, Floor B-1, Doylestown, PA, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
