PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Moorestown has contacted the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to divert portions of two lots in Strawbridge Lake Park totaling 0.007 acres (288 SF). The diversion is in connection with the New Jersey Department of Transportation-funded Route 38 Resurfacing Project, Nixon Drive to Route 295 Bridge. The diversion will include portions of the following lots:

Strawbridge Lake Park (Block 3104, Lot 1), consisting of 160 SF
Strawbridge Lake Park (Block 3104, Lot 2), consisting of 128 SF
The Township proposes to convey an easement to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) to facilitate the installation and maintenance of a Controlled Release Terminal (CRT) associated with guiderail upgrades along Pleasant Valley Avenue.
NJDOT proposes to compensate the Township for the diverted parkland by way of parkland improvement consisting of the installation of a 141 SF sidewalk on the remaining parkland, to extend from the safety walk on the bridge over Strawbridge Lake to Haines Drive. An application for Commissioner and State House Commission approval of the diversion has been submitted to Green Acres and is available for review at the Moorestown Municipal Building and the Moorestown Public Library, as well as at the Green Acres Program offices. This notice is an invitation to participate in a public hearing at Council Chambers at the Moorestown Municipal Building, 111 W 2nd Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057, on December 15, 2025, at 7:00 PM. All interested parties who wish to provide public comments at the above hearing may attend in person or join virtually via the Microsoft Teams link at https://www.moorestown.nj.us/.

Please send a copy of any comments submitted on this request to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, Office of Transactions and Public Land Administration, P.O. Box 420, Mail Code 401-07, Trenton, NJ 08625-0420, (Attn: Kevin Appelget, Burlington County Steward). The public comment period will close on December 29, 2025.
