PUBLIC NOTICE   Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-492, notice is hereby given that the Computation and Canvassing of the returns of votes cast for Tuesday, December 9, Special Election will take place at 2555 Lexington Road, Athens, GA, beginning at 7:00 PM. Canvassing will continue December 10, beginning at 10:00 AM at the Elections Department office located at 155 E. Washington Street in Athens. The Computation and Canvassing process includes reconciling Provisional Ballots as provided in Code Sections § 21-2-418 and § 21-2-419, guaranteeing that all ballots have been counted and tabulated, and absentee ballots as provided in subparagraph (a)(1)(G) of Code section § 21-2-386 from day-to-day are included in the final vote until completed. The Computation and Canvassing process is open to the public.
