NOTICE
The BENSALEM TOWNSHIP COUNCIL at its regularly scheduled meeting on December 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., to be held at the Township Building, 2400 Byberry Road, Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania will hold a public hearing on and will consider for adoption, an Ordinance Amending the Township’s Zoning Ordinance to Amend the Bensalem Township Zoning Map and the Zoning Classification of Bucks County Tax Map Parcel Number 02-041-022-002 from G-C General Commercial to R-1 Residential; and to establish an effective date thereof.
The Ordinance to be considered and acted upon is the following:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF BENSALEM TOWNSHIP AND THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF BUCKS COUNTY TAX MAP PARCEL NO. 02-041-022-002 OF THE SAID ZONING MAP FROM G-C GENERAL COMMERCIAL TO R-1 RESIDENTIAL, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREFOR.
The public hearing will be held for the purpose of receiving comments and recommendations of interested individuals residing within the municipality concerning the proposed Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance to be considered and acted upon on December 8, 2025, has been drafted for the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of Bensalem Township.
The proposed Ordinance will, inter alia, amend the Code of the Township of Bensalem To Amend the Bensalem Township Zoning Map to Re-Zone and Re-Classify Bucks County Tax Map Parcel Number 02-041-022-002 from G-C General Commercial to R-1 Residential; and to establish an effective date thereof, as more fully set forth in the Ordinance.
The Ordinance will be considered at the in-person meeting of the Township Council. Residents can observe the Meeting live on Bensalem Community Television, Comcast Cable Channel 22 or Verizon Fios Channel 34, and can view rebroadcasts of the Meeting on those channels or on the Bensalem Township Website, www.bensalempa.gov.
The full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined by any citizen in the Office of the Director of Administration of Bensalem Township located at 2400 Byberry Road, Bensalem, PA, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or at the Bucks County Law Library, located at the Bucks County Justice Center, 100 North Main Street, Floor B-1, Doylestown, PA, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
