Invitation To Bid The Town & Country Fire District Board of Trustees will receive sealed bids for the purpose of purchasing one (1) 2,000-gallon capacity fire department tanker with chassis and equipment. Bids will be received until 5:30pm on December 17, 2025 and then publicly open and read. Each bid shall be mailed or delivered prior to the bid opening time, to: Town & Country Fire District P.O. Box 175 60 N. Lincoln St West Salem, OH 44287 The sealed bids must be clearly marked: Bid For Town & Country Fire District Tanker Bids must be submitted with the bid proposal form supplied with the bid specification, plus contractor’s specifications, and must be signed by an authorized representative of the bidding firm. Specifications shall become part of the final contract. There shall be no intention to disqualify any bidder who can meet the intent of these specifications without necessarily being in compliance with minor details. Any exceptions to these specifications must be stated in writing and attached to the bid proposal form. Specifications are on file and may be obtained, weekdays between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, from the Town & Country Fire District, Attn: Asst. Chief DJ Funk, at the address indicated above or via email at tcfd.fiscal@gmail.com. Drawings and plans showing the size and locations of components and equipment specifically described on these specifications shall be submitted with the bid. The tanker shall be inspected and tested by the purchaser before acceptance to determine compliance with these specifications and to test its operational abilities to perform its intended use. It shall comply with all applicable federal and state laws. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified check, or bid bond equal to 10% of the total bid proposal. In addition, an affidavit of non-delinquency of personal property taxes shall be required. The Town & Country Fire District Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject and or all bids, and to accept the best proposal in the interest of the fire district.
