PUBLIC NOTICE OF HEARING AND OF INTENTION TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Barrett Township will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Barrett Administrative & Recreational Complex, 1200 Route 390, Cresco, PA 18326, to receive public comment on a proposed zoning amendment concerning Data Storage Centers. The proposed amendment would modify Chapter 525 (Zoning) of the Barrett Township Code to add definitions and regulatory standards for Data Storage Centers, including minimum lot size, access and buffering requirements, noise limits, fire protection, environmental and water-resource studies, emergency access provisions, utility capacity requirements, and related operational standards. Data Storage Centers would be permitted only as a conditional use in the Industrial District. Immediately following the public hearing, and at the same meeting, the Board of Supervisors intends to consider and, if appropriate, enact the ordinance as advertised, provided no substantive changes are made. If substantial amendments are proposed, the ordinance will be readvertised in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. A complete copy of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at the Barrett Administrative & Recreational Complex, 1200 Route 390, Cresco, PA, during regular business hours. Copies may be obtained for the cost of reproduction. A copy has also been provided to the Pocono Record and to the Monroe County Law Library as required by law.
