Karen J. Long, and Unknown Transferees, Assigns, Executors, Administrators, De-visees, and Heirs of Karen Long and All Those Persons Claiming Under or Through Her, and whose names and places of residence are unknown, and whose last known address is 27 Madison Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701, will take notice that on June 10, 2024, Ordinance No. 2024-64 was passed by Zanesville City Council that declared the following real property as blighted and authorized the Community Development Director to act in accordance with Chapter 1165: Elimination of Spot Blight to Remedy the Blighted Conditions:
Situated in the County of Muskingum, State of Ohio, Town of Putnam (now part of the City of Zanesville) and bounded and described as follows:
Being the east one-half (1/2) of Lot Seventy-four (74) in said Town of Putnam according to the recorded Plat and being the same real estate to said Goldie A. Long (nee Goldie A. Curtis) by the Last Will and Testament of Martha E. Curtis of Record in Will Record Volume 17, Page 437.

Further notice should be taken that on or around June 27, 2025, a Notice of Intent was published for the last time in the Zanesville Times Recorder, in which it was noted that previous attempts were made to produce a good faith offer to Defendant(s) named in the above-captioned case. Further notice should be taken that on July 21st, 2025, a Petition for Appropriation was filed with the Muskingum County Court of Common Pleas, located at 401 Main Street, Second Floor, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. No response or answer was received within the twenty-eight-day re-sponse period provided by CivR 4.4.
The Complaint further demands that all Defendants be required to set forth any claim, lien or interest asserted in the property, or be forever barred; that the Court find that Plaintiff has complied with the provisions of Section 163.01, et seq., of the Ohio Revised Code; that a determination that the above-described property is worth no more than $24,000.00; that should no Defendant set forth any claim, lien, or assert any interest in the property, the title should be conveyed to the City of Zanesville in accordance with law; and for other and further relief as may be necessary and proper.

Long, and Unknown Transferees, Assigns, Executors, Administrators, De-visees, and Heirs of Karen Long and All Those Persons Claiming Under or Through Her, if any, are further notified that they are required to answer the Complaint within 28 days of the last publication of this Notice, or judgment may be rendered against them as demanded by Plaintiff.
