HAWLEY BOROUGH 94 MAIN AVE HAWLEY, PA 18428   HIGHLAND STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT HAWLEY BOROUGH, WAYNE COUNTY   ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS  Sealed Bids for the construction of the HIGHLAND STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT will be received online via the PennBid Program, by HAWLEY BOROUGH, until 11:15 AM local time on January 7, 2026 at which time the Bids received will be opened electronically and publicly posted on PennBid’s website. The Project consists of reconstruction of asphalt roadway and associated restoration on Highland Street starting from the intersection of Cedar Ave and Highland St and continuing approximately 170 feet westerly toward Spruce St.  Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.  All bidding documents are available at no cost at (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.)  A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project.  Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.  The following wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract: Davis- Bacon Wages.  Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, religion, color, handicap, national origin, age or sex.  The Labor Standards, Wage Determination and Anti-Kickback regulations (29 CFR, Part 3) issued by the Secretary of Labor are included in the contract documents of this project and govern all work under the contracts.  Non-discrimination in Employment—Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order 11246 and will be required to insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against on the basis of their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin in employment or the provision of services.
