REQUEST FOR
ENGINEERING/ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
The City of Dover intends to contract for engineering and architectural services for the various studies and public improvement projects. The projects shall include, but are not limited to: design of road and various street improvements, reconstruction of streets, the paving of the River Front Park walking path, traffic studies, design of traffic signals, and/or inspections. Design and or inspection of sanitary sewers, pump stations, force mains, waterline design and/or inspections, water treatment and storm sewer improvements and all other public improvements that may be authorized by the City of Dover Administration.
Firms interested in being considered for such contracts should reply with a statement of qualifications no later than 4:00 P.M. on January 7, 2026. Statements received after this deadline will not be considered. Statements of Qualifications should include the following information; Technical Approach for various projects; Consultant Experience in Similar Projects; History of Firm- Education and Experience; Technical Expertise of Staff; Adequate Equipment and Facilities; Capacity to perform work and meet Schedules and Budgets; Firm Location; References; Previous work performed for the City of Dover and evidence of financial responsibility. Firms must note any Ohio Department of Transportation Pre-Qualifications needed to perform design or inspection for State or Federal Grant Projects.
Three copies of the Statements of Qualifications (no more than 14 pages front and back, not including covers) should be transmitted to David F. Douglas, Service Director, 116 E. Third Street Rear, Dover, Ohio 44622. Responding firms will be evaluated and selection made based on qualifications. The City of Dover will seek to negotiate a contract with a firm that it determines is most qualified to perform the required services.
