BORDENTOWN CITY
PLANNING BOARD
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the Bordentown City Planning Board (the “Board”) will consider whether a certain specified area of Bordentown City (hereinafter referred to as the “study area”) qualifies as an “area in need of redevelopment” under the provisions of the New Jersey Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1, et seq. The study area consists of a single parcel of land having a street address of 324 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown City, Burlington County, New Jersey, and designated as Block 706, Lot 14 on the official Tax Map of Bordentown City.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that, consistent with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-6b(1), the Board has prepared a map depicting the boundaries of the proposed redevelopment area. In conducting its preliminary investigation, the Board will consider the existing use(s) of the study area, its topographic, access, and environmental characteristics, the regulatory framework governing the use and development of the study area, and any and all such other factors as may be relevant to the question of whether the study area satisfies the eligibility criteria to be deemed an “area in need of redevelopment” as set forth in the New Jersey Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1, et seq. Further, the Board will conduct its preliminary investigation pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 2025-096, as adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Bordentown City on June 9, 2025. In accordance with the direction provided it by the Board of Commissioners, the Board will only consider whether the study area qualifies as a “non-condemnation” redevelopment area as the Board of Commissioners has determined it will not exercise its power of eminent domain.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the hearing of the Board will be conducted in the Carslake Community Center, located at 207 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, New Jersey 08505. All members of the public are welcome to attend. During the course of its discussions, the Board will consider a redevelopment area determination report of the study area which has been prepared by Latini & Gleitz, dated August 1, 2025. A copy of this report, together with the requisite map depicting the boundaries of the proposed redevelopment area, shall be available for inspection at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing in the office of the Board within Bordentown City Hall, located at 101 E Park Street, Bordentown, New Jersey 08505, during regular business hours.
