NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, OTTAWA COUNTY, MICHIGAN PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at its December 10, 2025 meeting, the Port Sheldon Township Board adopted a zoning text amendment ordinance, Ordinance No. Z 2025-04. Following is a summary of the Amendment Ordinance. This Notice and the summary are intended to meet the publication requirements contained in Michigan law. The Ordinance shall be effective eight days after its publication, unless the effective date is extended according to the requirements of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act. A copy of the Ordinance may be purchased or inspected by any person at the Port Sheldon Township office at 16201 Port Sheldon Street, West Olive, Michigan (Telephone: 616-399-6121), Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and Wednesday, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., except holidays. Section 1 of the Ordinance adds a definition of "mobile food vending" (Zoning Ordinance Section 2.15). Section 2 adds regulations for mobile food vending (Zoning Ordinance Section 4.09). Section 3 allows mobile food units as a permitted use in the Commercial District. Section 4 and Section 5 are reserved. Section 6 establishes the effective date.
