GRAVITY DRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 2 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS REGULAR MEETING December 1, 2025   The Gravity Drainage District No. 2 of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session in the Police Jury Conference Room of the Parish Courthouse, 701 Murray Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, on Monday, December 1, 2025 at eight thirty- four (8:34) o’clock a.m. (Central Standard Time), pursuant to the provisions of a written notice given to each and every member thereof and duly posted in the manner required by law, viz: Alexandria, Louisiana November 25, 2025   There were present: Mr. Ronnie Venson, Mr. Emile Williams Jr., Mr. Jeff DeKeyzer, Mr. Peter DeKeyzer and Mr. Micheal Norwood Also present were, Mr. Greg Jones, Legal Counsel, Mr. Trent Brown, Project Coordinator, Mr. Jim Verzwyvelt, Pan American Engineer, Ms. Devon Davis, and Ms. Debra Wess. Absent were: None The invocation was given by Mr. Ronnie Venson The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Peter DeKeyzer Mr. Ronnie Venson President, welcomed all present and then stated that the board was ready for the first item of business. The President asked if there was any public comment on any agenda item to which there was no response. On motion by Mr. Peter DeKeyzer, seconded by Mr. Michael Norwood, to adopt the minutes of November 17, 2025, Regular Meeting. On a vote the motion carried. Next on the agenda was to receive an update from the Project Coordinator. Mr. Brown stated Mr. Vidrine has removed another 1,600 feet of right-of-way clearing trees from the Bayou Cocodrie lateral off Highway 1200. Mr. Edwards removed another 2,000 feet of downed trees and obstructions out of Bayou Cocodrie with the amphibious excavator. Mr. Suttles continues to burn piles of trees off North Bayou Rapides Road. They’ve also caught a beaver in Middle Bayou. Discussion ensued.  Next on the agenda was to receive the Treasurer’s Report. Mrs. Davis reported on the financial accounts, and present bill to be paid. Discussion ensued.  On motion by Mr. Jeff DeKeyzer, and seconded by Mr. Michael Norwood, that approved bills be paid. On a vote the motion carried. Next on the agenda was to open a Public Hearing to discuss the Proposed Gravity Drainage No. 2 2026 Budget. On motion by Mr. Peter DeKeyzer and seconded by Mr. Michael Norwood to open the Public Hearing. On vote the motion carried. On motion by Mr. Michael Norwood and seconded by Mr. Jeff DeKeyzer to close the Public Hearing. On vote the motion carried.
