REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS   Pursuant to ORC 153.66(A) and ORC 153.67, the Village of Brewster has instituted prequalification requirements for professional design firms (engineering firms) seeking to provide services to the Village. The Village of Brewster encourages professional design firms (engineering firms) to submit statements of qualifications for consultation, investigation, evaluation, planning, design, or inspection of construction. The Village of Brewster also encourages surveyors to submit statements of qualifications for surveying. The Village MAY pursue preparation of plans for various projects in 2026, including but not limited to: various functions of sanitary sewer collection and treatment; water treatment and distribution; road repair and road improvements; surveying; grant applications; and electric distribution. For any projects which the Village estimates the professional design fee will be less than fifty thousand dollars, the Village plans to follow ORC 153.71(A), where the Village will select a single design professional or firm from among those that have submitted a current statement of qualifications within the immediate preceding year, as provided under section 153.68 of the Revised Code. Statements of qualifications should be submitted by January 23rd, 2026. The Village will continue to accept statements of qualifications after said date, however, only firms who have submitted statements of qualifications prior to the Village commencing ranking firms for a project will be considered for that project.
