Permit # 56140106-Brant Strip was renewed 8/17/2021 and is located on the north side of Blackfield Road, 2100 ft. west of Garrett Shortcut Rd., in Brothersvalley Township, Somerset County. Bond release of $55,472 is requested for 13.7 acres. Total bond held is $55,472. The release area has been planted as of October 2019 and is eligible for Stage II & III bond release. Permit #56120109-Burkett Mine was renewed on 5/9/2023 and is located approximately 0.75 miles southwest of Shanksville, along Stutzmantown Road and Weigle Road, in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County. Bond release of $80,269 is requested for 36.8 acres. Total bond held is $80,269. The release area has been planted as of September 2020 and is eligible for Stage II & III bond release. Permit #56170103-Ferko Strip was renewed on 5/9/2023 and is located 1200 feet north of Monument Road approximately 3800 feet west of the intersection with School Road in Shade Township, Somerset County. Bond release of $29,064 is requested for 6.6 acres. Total bond held is $34,294. The release area has been planted as of August 2021 and is eligible for Stage II bond release.
