TOWN OF HAMPTONBURGH TAX COLLECTOR’S NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the undersigned collector of taxes for the Town of Hamptonburgh, Orange County, New York, has duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of County and Town taxes for the year 2026. With the exception of holidays, I will receive taxes at the Hamptonburgh Town Hall, 18 Bull Road, Campbell Hall, NY 10916, Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and at all times by mail at the address noted. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2026 without penalty charge or interest. On all taxes paid after such date, there shall be added interest of 1% if paid by February 28, 2026, and an additional 1% for taxes paid thereafter until the return of unpaid taxes to the County Treasurer on April 1, 2026 pursuant to the provision of law. Receipts will be held fourteen days on taxes not paid by cash or certified check. A second notice letter will be mailed to property owners who have not paid their taxes by March 1, 2026. There is an additional $2.00 charge added to the March payment. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MARCH 16, 2026.
