NOTICE OF SALE OF LAND UNDER
EXECUTION
COUNTY OF GASTON,

By virtue of an execution directed to the undersigned from the Superior Court of Gaston County in the action entitled County of Gaston vs. HEIRS OF ELSIE PAINTER, I will, on January 21, 2026 at 10:00 am, at the Gaston County courthouse door, in the City of Gastonia, sell the real property described below to the highest bidder FOR CASH to satisfy the execution on that real property.
The execution was issued pursuant to judgment duly recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Gaston County, in the amounts specified below.
The following described property is located in the Southpoint Township, of Gaston County, North Carolina:
The real property is owned by HEIRS OF ELSIE PAINTER and is described as follows:
For legal description see Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
Amount due under judgment, including costs: $8,526.65.
The property will be sold “as-is, where is, with all faults,” subject to any and all existing liens, and all outstanding taxes and all local improvement assessments against the above-described property not included in the judgment in the above-entitled cause.
The highest bidder at public sale shall be required to pay IN FULL the amount of the successful bid at the conclusion of the execution sale (subject to the confirmation of the sale as by law provided). The successful bid amount shall be paid in cash or certified funds (payable to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office). The Sheriff’s office may, in its discretion, determine and allow a reasonable time within which to deliver the successful bid amount to that office. The successful bidder shall also be responsible for the payment of any excise/transfer taxes due to the Register of Deeds office, and all recording fees at the appropriate time.
In accordance with G.S. 105-375(i), this Notice of Sale has been sent to the taxpayer and any lienholder(s) of record by first-class and certified mail, return receipt requested, and has been posted on the property. The Notice of Sale will be published as required by G.S. 1-339.52.

All that parcel or tract of land lying and being in Bethel Township, State and County aforesaid and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a nail in center of present S.C. Highway 557 and running thence N. 35-00 E 669.2 feet across North Carolina - South Carolina State lines to a pine and iron; thence S 10-05 E 489.1 feet to an old iron, corner J.W. Painter line; thence N 71-20 W 100 feet to old iron, corner; thence with J.W. Painter line S 29-11 W 156 feet to nail in center of S.C. Highway S-557, Glenne Road, thence N 83-10 W 306.6 feet to nail, beginning corner, containing TWO AND 953/000 ( 2.953) acres, more or less, as shown by a plat of John Quinn Hall, Registered Land Surveyor, dated September, 1965, recorded in Plat Book 28, Page 211, RMC Office for York County, bounded by S.C. Highway 557, other land of J.W. Painter, Lowery land and Duncan land.
This conveyance being all portions of land lying within Gaston County, NC, with reference to that Notice of Affected Parcels for parcels affected by the certification of the North Carolina (NC)- South Carolina (SC) reestablished boundary, recorded on 12/29/2016 in Book 4887 at Page 2110 in the Gaston County Public Registry.
