The object of this proceeding is to secure the foreclosure of all rights of redemption from tax sale on the following property in Washington County, State of Maryland, sold by the Finance Officer of Washington County, State of Maryland, to David Stephen Skarwecki, the parcel of land as described as follows:
All that property in Election District No. 06, Washington County,
Maryland, described as 4.06 AC EIS ZITTLESTOWN RD
And assessed in account no. 06-012388 to Church Zittlestown INDPT ASSEM and being more particularly described in the deed recorded among the Land Records of Washington County, Maryland in Liber 728 folio 932 among the Land Records of Washington County, Maryland, SAVING AND EXCEPTING THEREFROM the property conveyed at Liber 1264, Folio 41 and also saving and excepting the property conveyed at Liber 1274, Folio 440,
More than six (6) months have passed since the date of the sale and the property has not been redeemed by any party in interest.
The Complaint states among other things that the amount necessary for redemption has not been paid. The sale was on June 3, 2025, and more than six (6) months have passed since that date.
It is thereupon this 6th of February, 2026 by the Circuit Court for Washington County,
ORDERED, that notice be given by the insertion of a copy of this Order in one newspaper having a general circulation in Washington County once a week for three consecutive weeks, on or before the 1st day of April, 2026, warning all persons interested in the property to appear in this Court by the 30th day of April, 2026 and redeem the property and answer the Complaint or thereafter the final judgment will be entered foreclosing all rights of redemption in the property and vesting in the Plaintiff to said property of fee simple title, free of all liens and encumbrances.
