OFFICIAL NOTICE
TO CONTROL WEEDS AND
CERTAIN GRASSES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 66.0407 of the Wisconsin Statutes that each person who owns, occupies, or controls land in the City of St. Francis, Milwaukee County, State of Wisconsin must destroy all noxious weeds on such land by the complete killing of such weeds or the killing of the weed plants above the surface of the ground at a time and in a manner as will effectually prevent the weed plants from maturing to the bloom or flower stage.
"Noxious weeds" are defined by Section 66.0407(1)(b) to mean "Canada thistle, leafy spurge, field bindweed, any weed designated as a noxious weed by the department of natural resources by rule, and any other weed the governing body of any municipality or the county board of any county by ordinance or resolution declares to be noxious within its respective boundaries."
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 320-3(F) of the City of St. Francis Code of Ordinances all weeds and grasses, and rank vegetation of any sort, shall be cut to a height that does not exceed nine inches (9").
