Pursuant to the Pennsylvania Clean Streams Law, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protections Rules and Regulations, the Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act, The Coal Refuse Disposal Control Act as amended and the Bituminous Mine Subsidence and Land Conservation Act as amended, notice is hereby given that Robindale Energy Services, Inc., 224 Grange Hall Road, P.O. Box 228, Armagh, PA 15920, has made application to the Department of Environmental Protection to renew its existing coal refuse disposal permit and the related NPDES permit# PA0110035. The current permit #56733702 was issued on 10-28-85 and will expire on 10-28-25. Coal Refuse Disposal Permit #56733702 consists of 215.1 acres. This renewal does not contain revisions to the existing operation. The receiving streams are an unnamed tributary to/and North Branch Quemahoning Creek to Stonycreek.
The operation, known as the Marmon Refuse Site, is located in Jenner Township; Somerset County on the north and south sides of Township Road 708, approximately 1500’ west of its intersection with S.R. 985. The permit can be located on the Boswell 7 ½’ USGS approximately 2.1 – 4.23 inches north and 9.05 – 10.65 inches west from the bottom right hand corner of the map.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection and copying, for a fee, by appointment at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, California District Office, 25 Technology Drive, California Technology Park, Coal Center, PA 15423. Written comments, objections, or requests for a public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the Department of Environmental Protection at the above-mentioned address by thirty (30) days following the fourth and final date of this publication.
