M. at Montgomery Regional Airport - Rotunda Conference Room located at 4445 Selma Highway Montgomery, Alabama 36108 and at said time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for: Runway 10-28 Rehabilitation at Montgomery Regional Airport. Major items of work include: Milling, Paving, Underdrains, Markings and Grooving. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11:00 A. M. at the Montgomery Regional Airport Rotunda Conference Room located at 4445 Selma Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36108. Attendance is required for all prospective bidders. A virtual attendance option will be available for those unable to attend in person. Details for joining the meeting remotely will be provided in advance. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bid Documents Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Goodwyn Mills Cawood located at 2660 East Chase Lane, Suite 200, Montgomery, AL 36117. Copies of the Bid Documents may be obtained from the issuing office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a one-time administrative fee of $20.00 for digital access/file sharing access and/or payment of $100.00 for each printed set. Said cost represents the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution, therefore no refund will be granted. Checks for Bid Documents shall be payable to “Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC.” Partial sets of Bid Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bid Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $50,000. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to the Montgomery Airport Authority. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying the license number on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered. “A contractor must have a Heavy and Railroad major license or a Heavy and Railroad specialty license to bid as prime for this project.” Bids may be held by the Montgomery Airport Authority for a period not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract.
