PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Land Use Board of the Borough of Haledon (the "Board") will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. (or at such other place or later date and time to which this matter may be adjourned at the aforesaid hearing) in the Municipal Building, 510 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, New Jersey, for the purpose of reviewing and taking action upon the application of Storage Post, LLC (the "Applicant"), which seeks a use variance along with amended preliminary and final major site plan approval with bulk variances in order to install storage units along the perimeter of the site, creating approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of additional storage area (10 ft. by 200 ft.) at the existing storage. The individual units will vary in size from 5 ft. by 10 ft., to 10 ft. by 10 ft., and will be housed within modular structures measuring either 10 ft. by 10 ft., or 10 ft. by 20 ft., located at 45 Kossuth Street, more particularly designated as Block 88, Lot 19 (the "Property"). The Property is located in the B – Residence Zone.
In connection with the foregoing, the Applicant seeks all variances, waivers, exceptions, interpretations and other relief necessitated by the plans it has currently filed with the Board, together with any additional variances, waivers, exceptions, interpretations and other relief that may be necessitated by changes to the plans requested by the Board, and any and all other relief that the Board may determine to be appropriate or necessary for the project, including but not limited to (i) a use variance for an expansion of the storage facility use which is not permitted in the B – Residence Zone; (ii) a variance for a side yard setback of 0.6 ft. for an accessory structure where the Ordinance requires a minimum of 3 ft; (iii) a variance for a rear yard setback of 1.3 ft. for an accessory structure where the Ordinance requires a minimum of 3 ft.; and (iv) a variance for 9 parking stalls where the Ordinance requires a minimum of 115 spaces.
Any person interested in this application will have the opportunity to present any objections or otherwise be heard, either in person or by agent or attorney, at the public hearing. Members of the public may also inspect the plans, reports, application and supporting materials on file in the office of the Land Use Board, during normal business hours.
