LEGAL NOTICE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES BEFORE THE DIRECTOR In the matter of application number 74-242992.0000 for a Recovery Well (RW) permit, located within the Lower Hassayampa Sub-basin of the Phoenix Active Management Area, the Director gives notice that the City of Buckeye has filed the above-referenced permit application pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) § 45-834.01. The RW permit application proposes to recover water for municipal purposes from one well within the Buckeye White Tanks ADAWS service area. The registration number, location, and proposed maximum recovery volume for the well, is as follows: well 55-484496 located in the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Sec. 36, Township 2 North, Range 5 West, Gila and Salt River Baseline and Meridian, maximum recovery of 2,106.4 acre-feet per annum. A copy of the RW permit application is available for review at the Department, or electronically, upon receipt of a public records request. A public records request can be submitted online here: https://app.azwater.gov/eforms/Forms/Request/DWR_Request.aspx Objections to the issuance of this permit may be filed by persons who may be adversely affected by this proposed recovery well and must be filed, in writing, with the Docket Supervisor of the Department of Water Resources, Legal Division, 1110 West Washington Street, Suite 310, Phoenix, Arizona 85007, within fifteen (15) days after the last day of publication of this notice. For this application, the final date on which an objection may be filed is May 15, 2026. Objections are limited to whether the application for the RW permit meets the criteria of A.R.S. § 45-834.01(B). An objection shall state the name and mailing address of the objector, be signed by the objector, their agent, or attorney, and must clearly set forth reasons why the permit should not be issued.
