Central Kitsap School District Bid No. 2412 EV Charging Stations April 23, 2026 SECTION 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS   Central Kitsap School District (CKSD) – Request sealed bids for KSS HVAC Replacement project, Bid No. 2503. The Work comprises replacement of water-source heat pumps at Klahowya Secondary School. The scope includes removal of 62 water-source heat pump units. Most of these units will be replaced in kind. Additionally, there are two bid alternates for this project which include relocation and replacement of existing electrical transformers. The breakdown of the replacements and locations is as follows: 1. Mechanical Attic Heat Pump Replacements (42): Mechanical Attic heat pump units will be replaced with like-for-like units. 2. Mechanical Mezzanine Heat Pump Replacements (11): a. Replace 6 water-source heat pump air handlers in kind. Provide access panel in corridor for removal and future maintenance access. b. Replace 5 water-source heat pump split system units with new air handling units and an outdoor VRF system. These split system units have separate water-source heat pump units and air handling units. 3. Administrative Office Heat Pump Units (8): Replace 8 suspended horizontal water-source heat pump units. Provide complete replacement of ACT ceilings in the Administrative Offices. Reinstall ceiling mounted devices in new ceiling. 4. Back-of-house Heat Pump Replacement (1): Replace water-source heat pump unit in kind. Provide access panel in corridor for removal and future maintenance access. Bid alternates for this project include the relocation and replacement of electrical transformers which are inaccessible due to their locations. Bid Alternate #1: Relocate two existing transformers in the Mechanical Attic to more accessible locations. Bid Alternate #2: Replace two existing transformers in the Mechanical Attic and relocate them to more accessible locations. The estimated cost for the base project is $3,900,000. The bids shall include all Work pursuant to the Drawings and Project Manuals, and Addenda(s) issued prior to bid opening date. Part 1: CKSD will receive Sealed Bids at: Capital Projects Office located at 1400 NE McWilliams Road, Bremerton, WA 98311, starting at 10:00 AM to no later than 11:00 AM, May 19, 2026. Bids will be publicly opening and read aloud at the above address for the project. Part 2: HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical subcontractor work listings is due at the same time as Part 1 on May 19, 2026. Shortly after 11:00 AM, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the day and hour stated in this section may not receive consideration. Part 3: Prior to 11:00 AM on May 21, 2026, within 48-hours of the time and date for the Receipt of Bids, bidders shall submit Structural Steel & Rebar Installation subcontractor work listings to Capital Projects Office located at 1400 NE McWilliams Road, Bremerton, WA 98311. Shortly after 11:00 AM subcontractor work listings will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work listings received after the day and hour stated above will not receive consideration. Owner reserves the right to postpone the Bid opening. Part 3 may be turned in with Part 1 and 2 or shortly afterwards. A non-mandatory, but highly encouraged, pre-bid meeting will be held on April 30, 2026 starting at 3:00 PM. The meeting is intended to provide a general review between bidders, owner, and architect prior to bidding the project. Any changes resulting from this conference will be made by Addenda following the meeting. This project is subject to meet Washington State prevailing wages rates. All work performed on the project will be subject to the approved wage determination rates in the bid documents.
