LEGAL NOTICE    The City of Canandaigua will be accepting payment for the 2026 City Tax starting May 1st and has fixed the following places and dates for receiving taxes:  • City Treasurer’s Office at Canandaigua City Hall, 2 North Main St., Monday – Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  • At any branch of Canandaigua National Bank during the month of May.  Payments may be mailed to the City Treasurer, City of Canandaigua, 2 North Main St., Canandaigua, NY 14424 or placed in the drop box on the employee entrance door at the West Avenue entrance to City Hall. If you include the entire bill a receipt will be mailed back to you.  Taxes must be paid in full; no partial payments will be accepted. Taxes may be paid on or before June 1st, 2026 without penalty. If the last day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, the collection period is extended to the next business day.  Penalty for late payment will be assessed on all payments made after June 1st: Payments            Penalty : made in:              Charge June                         1% July                           3% August                      6%   1% added for each additional month thereafter.   Nancy C.
