NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2018 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MADRID, IOWA Notice Is Hereby Given: That at 6:00 o'clock p.m., at the City Hall Council Chambers, 304 S. Water Street, Madrid, Iowa, on May 18, 2026, the City Council of the City of Madrid, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on an ordinance amending the 2018 Code of Ordinances of the City of Madrid, Iowa. The proposed ordinance will amend Title IV Mental and Physical Health, Chapter 1 Animal Control by amending Section 4-1-14 of the ordinance to allow residents of single-family dwellings to have up to six (6) hens. A copy of the proposed amended ordinance is on file for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk.
