Request for Proposals (RFP) St. Ann’s Hill & Derby Downs Hay Lease The City of Watertown is requesting proposals for the lease of approximately 85 acres of hay land located in Codington County, South Dakota. Lease Terms & Conditions • Initial lease term of two (2) years • Option for one (1) additional two-year renewal, subject to City approval • Lease arrangement shall be “Rent for Shares” with half (50%) of all hay harvested to be delivered to the Bramble Park Zoo. • The haying schedule shall be coordinated with the City of Watertown or its designated representative, taking into consideration weather conditions, site use, and operational needs. Property Description The lease area includes the following parcels: • St. Ann’s Hill, area bordered by 3rd Avenue NW, Skyline Drive, 10th Avenue NW and BNRXR railroad tracks (Kirlin’s Outlot 1) • Derby Down’s Rodeo Area located at 3000 Golf Course Road Submission Requirements • Proposals must include the following: o bidder’s name, address, phone number, and email o Specification of whether the hay will be delivered in round or square bales • Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “St. Ann’s Hill & Derby Downs Hay Lease: Finance Department” • Proposals must be delivered to: City of Watertown Finance Department. 20 N Maple Street P.O.
