LEGAL NOTICE   The following is a summary of an ordinance adopted by Canton City Council on Apr. 20, 2026. Ave. S.W., Canton, Ohio 44702, during non-holiday weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ordinance No. 73/2026 The Mayor or Service Director is authorized to receive Fair Housing Assistance Program Award Grant Funds from the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for case processing, administrative costs and training. The Auditor is authorized to: use the 2215 Fair Housing Assistance Program Fund for tracking grant revenue and expenditures and to rename the 2217 2216 Partnership Grant Fund to 2217 2025 Special Enforcement Effort Grant Fund in which to place a portion of the grant money. The 2026 Final Appropriation Ordinance is amended by making the supplemental appropriations of $60,600 from the Unappropriated Balance (UB) of 2215 2025 Fair Housing Assist Prog Fund and $6,000 from the UB of 2217 2025 Special Enforcement Effort Fund. Adopted as an emergency.
