NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES MOINES, IOWA, ON THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED AUTHORIZATION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DES MOINES AND E.O. JOHNSON COMPANY, INC. FOR THE LEASE OF MULTI-FUNCTION DEVICES (PRINTER, COPIER, SCANNER AND FACSIMILE) FOR USE IN CITY OPERATIONS FOR A TWO-YEAR PERIOD, IN A TOTAL LEASE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $450,000.00 PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 29th day of September, 2025 at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 400 Robert D. Ray Drive, Des Moines, Iowa, 50309, at which meeting the City Council proposes to take action for the authorization of a Lease Agreement between the City of Des Moines and E.O. Johnson Company, Inc. in the total lease amount not to exceed $450,000.00, for leasing of multi-function devices (printer, copier, scanner and facsimile) for use in City operations for a two-year period. The Lease Agreement, which will be on file in the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 400 Robert D. Ray Drive, Des Moines, Iowa, at least four days prior to the public hearing, provides that the City shall pay 24 monthly payments during the two-year term. The Lease Agreement will be payable from the general fund and various enterprise funds of the City. At the above-described public hearing, the City Council shall receive oral or written objections from any resident or property owner of the City to the above action. After all objections have been received and considered, the City Council will at said meeting or at any adjournment thereof, take additional action for the authorization of said Lease Agreement or will abandon the proposal. This notice is given by order of the City Council of Des Moines, Iowa, as provided in Sections 362.3, 364.4, 384.25 and 384.83 of the Code of Iowa.
