NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES MOINES ON THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED AUTHORIZATION OF A LOAN AGREEMENT IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED $1,091,997.95, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING CERTAIN TASER CERTIFICATION BUNDLE EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Des Moines, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on September 29, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 400 Robert D. Ray Drive, Des Moines, Iowa at which meeting the City Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Loan Agreement in the principal amount of not to exceed $1,091,997.95, for the purchase of certain taser certification bundle equipment and materials for use in conjunction with City operations. The Loan Agreement, on file in the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall, provides that the City shall pay five annual payments totaling the principal not-to-exceed $1,091,997.95. The purchase under the Loan Agreement will be payable solely from the general fund of the City. At the above meeting, the City Council shall receive oral or written objections from any resident or property owner of the City to the above action. Any person or organization desiring to submit written objections may direct such written material to the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 400 Robert D. Ray Drive, Des Moines, Iowa 50309 including via e-mail at cityclerk@dmgov.org, prior to 3:00 p.m. on September 29, 2025. After all objections have been received and considered, the City Council will at this meeting or at any adjournment thereof, take additional action for the authorization of said Loan Agreement or will abandon the proposal.
