Notice to Contractors
Sealed bids for Business Hwy 13 Sidewalk Improvement Project Phase 1, will be received at: Branson West City Offices. 110 Silver Lady Lane, Branson West. MO 65737 until 2:00 PM (Prevailing Local Time) on the 30th day of September and at that time will be publicly opened and read. Mailed bids should be delivered to: PO Box 2229, Branson West MO 65737. All bids shall be submitted in the form of
sealed, paper bids and designated as bid for TAP-9901872 Business Hwv 13 Sidewalk Improvements.
The proposed work includes: ADA compliant sidewalk installation with storm sewer, curb and gutter, and minor roadway work. Installation of a pedestrian crosswalk with pedestrian refuge island and rectangular rapid flash beacons.
Plans and specifications must be secured from Springfield Blue Print located at 219 East Pershing St, Springfield Missouri, 65806 or by contacting pringfield Blue Print at www.spfdblue.com or 417-869-7316.
All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.
The City of Branson West hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award."
All bidders must be on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.
The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
The City of Branson West reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
