Notice is hereby given of orders issued by the City of Indianapolis,Department of Business and Neighborhood Services. Any person or corporation claiming any title, right or interest in any of the parcels of real estate listed below is hereby notified that in accordance with the power granted by the Unsafe Building Law (Ind. Code 36-7-9), orders have been issued by the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services as indicated below.

The administrative hearings on the above listed orders are scheduled for 9:00 AM on the date indicated at the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services located at 200 E. Washington St., Suite 107 Indianapolis, IN 46204. The hearing shall be held before the Hearing Authority to give the persons to whom the orders were issued or their legal counsel an opportunity to present evidence, cross-examine witnesses and make arguments. At the conclusion of this hearing, the Hearing Authority may affirm, modify or rescind the order. If the Hearing Authority affirms the order and finds there has been a willful failure to comply with the order, a fine in an amount not exceeding $5,000 may be imposed. If you or your representative does not appear, the matter will be determined in your absence and a civil penalty may be imposed. If the orders have not been complied with in a predetermined timeframe, and have been affirmed or modified by the Hearing Authority, the Unsafe Building Law provides that a court may be requested to grant injunctive relief, impose a court ordered forfeiture, appoint a receiver, or require the work to be accomplished by a contractor. If a contractor is hired by the City, all persons having a fee interest, life estate interest, or equitable interest of a contract purchaser in the unsafe premises is jointly and severally responsible for costs incurred by the division. This cost will include average processing expenses which represent the costs incurred by the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services in performing the required action. Copies of the orders listed above are on file and available for examination at the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services located at 200 E. Washington St., Suite 107 Indianapolis, IN 46204.
