NOTICE OF SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY   The Town of Spencer will accept sealed bids on the following surplus personal property in accordance with I.C. 5-22-22 et seq:   2014 Blue Ford Taurus, Police Interceptor, Mileage 75,020   2016 Black Ford Explorer, Police Interceptor, Mileage 54,593   *The aforementioned vehicles will be available for inspection at The Spencer Police Department by appointment only. Vehicle may be started but may not be driven. To schedule an inspection appointment, call 812-829-3932.   Bidders must submit a payment for not less than 25% of their bid amount with their bid in the form of a cashiers check, certified check, or money order payable to the Town of Spencer.   Bids must be submitted on the designated bid sheet and affidavit which can be found at Spencer Municipal Building. This form includes a non-collusion statement. The Bid must be mailed or hand delivered in a sealed envelope to:   Spencer Town Clerk-Treasurer 90 N West Street Spencer, IN 47460   The envelope must clearly state Surplus Property Sale and indicate the vehicle that is being bid on.   Sealed bids must be received before 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on October 6, 2025 at the address above. Any bids received after the designated time for any reason or otherwise not in compliance with the bid requirements will not be considered and all contents contained in the bid response envelope will be returned to the bidder.   Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on the 6th day of October, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.   The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. All bids may be held for a period of not to exceed thirty (30) days. Bid award will be to the best and highest responsive bidder.   The property will be sold as-is without warranty of condition or use.   Payment in full and removal of the surplus property is due no later than 5:00 p.m., the third business day following the award of bids unless the Town of Spencer grants an extension of time.
