Public Notice of Proposed Policy Changes
To: Residents, Participants, Landlords, and the Public,
The Housing Authority of the City of Bridgeton (BHA) is proposing revisions to its Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) and Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Administrative Plan. Drafts of these policies are available for a 45-day public review and comment period, as required by HUD.
Summary of Proposed Changes:
Both the Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy and Housing Choice Voucher policies have been fully updated.
How to Review the Draft Policies:
Copies of the draft ACOP and Administrative Plan can be reviewed online at www.bridgetonpha.org by clicking on the ACOP and ADMIN Plan button on the home page, and in person at the BHA’s main office located at 110 E Commerce St., Bridgeton, NJ, during regular business hours. 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Public Comment Period:
The 45-day public comment period runs from Monday, September 22nd through Wednesday, November 5th, 2025.
How to Submit Comments:
Written comments must be submitted by the deadline to be considered. You can submit comments via email to elba.vera@bridgetonpha.org, by mail, to 110 E Commerce St., Bridgeton, NJ 08302 or in person at the BHA’s main office located at 110 E Commerce St., Bridgeton, NJ.
Public Hearing:
A public hearing to discuss the proposed changes will be held on Wednesday October 15th at 3:00 PM at 110 E Commerce St., Bridgeton, NJ. All are encouraged to attend.
