NOTICE TO BIDDERS Electronic bids will be opened by the City of Aurora via an online Zoom meeting: Meeting ID: 812 1774 5426 Passcode: 44202 October 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. for the following item(s): METAL STANDING ROOF RETROFIT The scope of work includes installing a metal standing retrofit system over two sections of an existing building. The engineer’s estimates for the proposed improvements $400,000.00. The City of Aurora will only receive Bids through the Bid Express website at https://www.bidexpress.com. All bid forms, contract documents, and plans are available through the Bid Express website. A fee of $50 will be incurred to bid electronically on a pay-per-solicitation basis; alternatively, vendors may subscribe for $60 per month to have access to all solicitations and email notifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio, by the bid opening date and time. If any person contemplating submitting a BID for the proposed PROGRAM/PROJECT is in doubt as to the meaning of any part of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, they may submit through Bid Express a written request for interpretation thereof.
