NOTICE OF PETITION TO QUIET TITLE AND BAR OF REDEMPTION
To: Curley L. Owens, his heirs, successors, executors, administrators, beneficiaries, or assigns; occupants; Clifford J. (C.J.) Judge, his heirs, successors, executors, administrators, beneficiaries, or assigns; James E. Williams, his heirs, successors, executors, administrators, beneficiaries, or assigns; The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah; Georgia Department of Revenue; Midland Credit Management, Inc; Citibank, N.A.; Saseen Bonding Company; and All the World, all other persons known and unknown who claim or might claim adversely, to whom it may concern.
You are hereby notified that the above-styled action seeking to establish title to the below described property against all the world was filed on October 1, 2024, in the Superior Court of Chatham County, Georgia, Eastern Judicial Circuit, concerning land known and described as follows:
ALL that certain lot or parcel of land, situated in the City of Savannah, Colding Ward, Chatham County, State of Georgia, known and designated as lot numbered Forty Six (46) of C. J. Hull's subdivision of the southern portion of Lot Number Two, Huck's Tything, Percival Ward, as shown by a map of said subdivision recorded in book 4-F's Page 54 Chatham County Record of Deeds, in the Clerk's office of the Superior Court, said lot being situated on the North side of Orchard Street between Montgomery and West Broad Streets and having a frontage of twenty-five feet on said Orchard Street and a rectangular depth northward of Seventy feet and being the same property described in deed from Henry Norman to Mrs. Emma L. Tabb, September 19, 1910, recorded in 10-I's, folio 85. Said Emma L. Tabb, having departed this life in the year 1918 leaving H. C. Tabb as her husband and sole heir at law. Said H.C. Tabb having thereafter conveyed said property to Citizens & Southern National Bank, who in turn conveyed same to Clifford J. Judge. Said property being located in Colding Ward in said City of Savannah. As referenced in that certain deed dated August 8, 1961, from Lillie Mae Howard, a single woman, as administratrix of the Estate of Daisy Scott, formerly known as Daisy Fishburne and Daisy Judge, and being conveyed to Bernear Lucas, Rose Lee Harris Sanders, Eugene Fishburne, Elizabeth Brown and Lillie Mae Howard and recorded in Deed Record Book 78-X, folio 377. Known as 628 Orchard Street, Savannah, GA 31405 (PIN20089 21017).
The named parties should take notice that the right to redeem the property will be foreclosed forty-five days from the date of first publication of this notice. The tax deed to which this notice refers is dated June 7, 2022, and is recorded in Deed Book 2866, Page 355, Chatham County, Georgia records. By reason of order for service by publication, entered by said court on the September 23, 2025, you are hereby commanded to be and appear at the Superior Court within thirty (30) days of the date of the order for service by publication to make known your interest in said property, and file your answer, along with any objections to the Petition, defenses or other appearances, with the Clerk of said Court and serve a copy upon Joseph M. Gannam, Petitioner's attorney, whose address is P.O. Box 10085, Savannah, Georgia 31412.
