NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 278 TAKE NOTICE that the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., for the purpose of enacting proposed Ordinance No. 278, which Ordinance amends Chapter 1 General Provisions (Definitions), to coordinate existing definitions with definitions found in amended Chapter 110 Sewage. The hearing will be convened during the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors which starts at 6:00 p.m., at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Paradise Valley, PA. After the hearing and during the continuance of the regular meeting, the Board will consider, if in order, the passage of Ordinance No. 278 as well as other business coming before the Board at that time. In lieu of the full text of the proposed Ordinance No. 278, the following summary is provided: ORDINANCE NO. 278 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PARADISE, MONROE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS, ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PARADISE TOWNSHIP ON JUNE 5, 2007, BY ORDINANCE NO. 157 AND SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS, WITH A REVISED CHAPTER 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS BY 1) CLARIFYING THAT DEFINITIONS FOR ABSORPTION AREA, AGGREGATE, EQUIVALENT DWELLING UNIT, HOLDING TANK, IMPROVED PROPERTY, LARGE VOLUME ONLOT SEWAGE SYSTEM, PADEP, REGISTERED SEPTIC HAULER, SEPTAGE DISPOSAL SITE, SEWAGE, SEWAGE FACILITIES, SEWAGE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, SEWAGE FACILITIES ACT, SEWAGE REGULATIONS WILL BE FOUND IN CHAPTER 110 SEWAGE DISPOSAL BUT TO BE USED THROUGHOUT CODE OF ORDINANCES; 2) AMENDING CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE II, DEFINITIONS, TO REMOVE THE DEFINITION OF LARGE VOLUME SPRAY IRRIGATION SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM, LARGE VOLUME SUBSURFACE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM, SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM, CENTRAL LAND DISPOSAL OF SEWAGE EFFLUENT, SEWAGE FACILITY, PRIVATE, AND SEWAGE FACILITY, PUBLIC, AND TO AMEND THE DEFINITIONS IN CHAPTER 1 FOR OWNER, PERSON, AND SEWAGE FACILITY, PUBLIC; 3) PROVISIONS FOR SEVERABILITY, REPEALER, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
