LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP Bucks County, Pennsylvania NOTICE   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lower Makefield Township Building, 1100 Edgewood Road, Yardley, Pennsylvania 19067. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comment and public testimony regarding the proposed ordinance entitled:   AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LOWER MAKEFIELD, BUCKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 178 – “SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT”, ARTICLE XI – “LANDSCAPE AND OPEN LANDS REQUIREMENTS”, SECTION 81 – “STREET TREES”, AND SECTION 82 – “BUFFER YARDS” TO REVISE AND CLARIFY CERTAIN PROVISIONS UNDER THE SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE REQUIRED PLANTING OF TREES.   In summary, the Board of Supervisors has determined that Chapter 178 – “Subdivision and Land Development”, Article XI – “Landscape and Open Lands Requirements”, Section 81 – “Street Trees”, and Section 82 – “Buffer Yards” should be amended to revise and clarify certain provisions relating to the required planting of trees for the proper management, care and control of the Township and its finances, and the maintenance of peace, good government, health and welfare of the Township and its residents.   At the public meeting after the hearing, the Board of Supervisors may consider enactment of the proposed Ordinance. A copy of the proposed Ordinance may be reviewed at the Township Building, 1100 Edgewood Road, Yardley, Pennsylvania 19067 during normal business hours; a copy may be obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof.
