NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On Tuesday, the 14th day of October, 2025, the Council of the City of Hopewell, Virginia (the “City”), will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of general obligation bonds of the City in the estimated maximum principal amount of $15,000,000. The purpose of the proposed bonds is to construct, improve, expand and replace existing public buildings and facilities, including without limitation, pump station replacements, roof replacements, HVAC replacements, road and street improvements, pedestrian safety improvements, stormwater system improvements, sewer pipe replacements, park and recreation improvements, and riverwalk completion costs. Proceeds of the bonds may be applied to pay, in addition to the costs of such projects, related financing and issuance costs. Such bonds shall be general obligations of the City to the payment of which the City’s full faith and credit shall be irrevocably pledged. The full text of the ordinance authorizing the issuance of the bonds is on file in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection during regular business hours. The meeting will begin at 5:00pm with the public hearing to begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers (Third Floor) in the Municipal Building, 300 North Main Street, Hopewell, Virginia.
