NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Please Take Notice that the City Plan Commission of the City of Marshfield, State of Wisconsin, will hold a PUBLIC HEARING at 7:00PM located in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 207 West 6th Street on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at which time all persons interested or their Agents or Attorneys may be heard on the following matters:
1. Municipal Code Amendment request by the City of Marshfield to consider text amendments to Section 18-29 (Single Family Residential-6 Zoning District) to allow duplexes, twin homes, and townhouses (3-4 units) as permitted uses, allowing accessory dwelling units by right and amending Section 18-54 to update the table of land uses. The proposed text amendments include updates to the density, intensity, and bulk regulations for the district related to the new uses and changing the name of the district to SR-6 Single- and Two-Family Resdiential-6 Zoning District.
2. Municipal Code Amendment request by the City of Marshfield consider text amendments to create a new zoning district (Section 18-44 Small Scale Residential District) and amend Section 18-54 (Table of Land Uses). This change would create a new zoning district that is intended to accommodate a mix of low-density multi-unit housing types, including single-family, two-family, multiplex and apartments, and townhouses, in a manner that maintains the character of surrounding neighborhoods.
