T-Mobile is proposing modifications and upgrades at an existing 153-foot (153-foot overall height) transmission tower telecommunications facility located at an address of 9620 Santa Rosa Road, Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, CA 93012 (Latitude 34° 14' 04.3" N, Longitude 118° 56' 11.6" W). The project entails fiber/backhaul and associated equipment upgrades with no changes to the host transmission tower or antennas. Specifically, associated support equipment will be installed within T-Mobile's lease area within the facility's existing equipment shelter. From there, a new fiber conduit is proposed, running from the existing shelter northeast to an existing utility pole. The length of the new fiber/backhaul section is approximately 120 feet. A MMP fiber drop will also be placed outside the leased area at the base of the existing utility pole. Eocene Environmental Group is publishing this notice in accordance with Federal Communications Commission regulations (47 CFR § 1.1307) for Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and for the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
