RECLASSIFICATION OF SIXTEENTH
SECTION SCHOOL TRUST LAND
The following described Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Land situated in FORREST County, Mississippi is under the jurisdiction and control of the PETAL Board of Education:
SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 5 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, FORREST COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI

COMMENCE AT A 1/2” REBAR AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE NE1/4 OF THE NW ¼ OF SECTION 16. TOWNSHIP 5 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, FORREST COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AND RUN S 89 DEGREES 55 MINUTES 12 SECONDS WEST FOR 967.70 FEET; THENCE RUN S 07 DEGERES 54 MINUTES 08 SECONDS WEST FOR 468.88 FEET; THENCE RUN N 89 DEGREES 57 MONUTES 47 SECONDS WEST FOR 70.66 FEET TO A ½” REBAR; THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF MORRISTON PAVED PUBLIC ROAD AND THE POINT OF BEGINNING. FROM THE POINT-OF-BEGINNING RUN N 07 DEGREES 54 MINUTES 08 SECONDS E ALONG SAID WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE FOR 161.90 FEET TO A ½” REBAR; THENCE RUN N 89 DEGREES 57 MINUTES 47 SECONDS WEST FOR 383.40 FEET TO A ½” REBAR; THENCE RUN S 00 DEGREES 23 MINUTES 07 SECONDS E FOR 160.38 FEET TO A ½” REBAR; THENCE RUN S 89 DEGREES 57 MINUTES 47 SECONDS E FOR 360.06 FEET BACK TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINS 1.36 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.
Said Board of Education by resolution duly adopted and incorporated into its minutes has reclassified the above-described land from Residential (RES) land to Forest (FST) land.
All parties in interest have the right to object to and appeal the reclassification of the above-described land by filing written objection with the Chancery Clerk of Forrest County. Objection must be filed with the Chancery Clerk within thirty (30) days of the final publication of this notice and will be heard by the Chancery Court. If no objections are filed within the time allowed reclassification shall be final.
Reclassification of the above-described lands is made by order of the PETAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Board of Education pursuant to Sections 29-3-31 to 29-3-39 inclusive, of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended.
