NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADOPTION OF PLAN APPLETON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a Public Hearing to be held before the Appleton Common Council on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, 6th Floor, City Hall, 100 North Appleton Street, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, for the purpose of considering adoption of Plan Appleton, an entire update to the City of Appleton's Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan establishes a vision for future land use, physical development, and quality of life in the City, as well as provides a comprehensive set of goals, policies, and initiatives to achieve that vision. It is a coordinated and unified plan used to maintain and enhance conditions within the community and provide guidance on private and public development issues. The Comprehensive Plan addresses the entire geographic area of Appleton and its extraterritorial planning jurisdiction. It is a long range plan, addressing current issues while also looking beyond to future issues and opportunities within the City.
A copy of the proposed Comprehensive Plan, Plan Appleton is available for viewing in the Appleton Community Development Department or the Office of the City Clerk from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, Plan Appleton is available for viewing on the project website at www.planappleton.org.
All persons interested are invited to express your views or concerns regarding the above-described request. The Common Council meeting is open to the public. Feedback can also be shared with Common Council members via written letter, email, or phone call. Alternatively, you can also contact the Mayor's Office at mayor@appleton.org and your comments will be forwarded to the Common Council.
