The CHARTER TOWNSHIP of PORT HURON 3800 Lapeer Road, Port Huron, Michigan 48060 (810) 987-6600   NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2026 BUDGET NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AT LARGE   PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. the Charter Township of Port Huron Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing for the purpose of considering the proposed 2026 budget and to set the millage rates to be assessed on the township at large for Street Lights = .4660 mils and Police Protection = 3.4500 mils. The hearing will be held in the Township Office, 3800 Lapeer Road, Port Huron, Michigan.   The proposed tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.   These proposed rates affect all real property within the boundaries of the Charter Township of Port Huron. Any protests to this assessment must be made in person at the public hearing or filed in writing with the Township Clerk prior to the close of the Public Hearing.   The Board may not adopt its proposed 2026 budget until after the public hearing. Copies of the proposed 2026 budget, including the proposed property tax millage rates, are available for public inspection during regular business hours in the office of the Township Clerk.   This notice is given by order of the Charter Township of Port Huron.   Benita E.
